Julie and Julia

Before watching the movie, "Julie and Julia," I never really knew that blog existed for such a long time. At first, I thought it only came to be in the last three years. I thought the movie was really cool in some aspects, especially about the change in Julie's life through blogging. Julia, a regular house wife, really has this persistance to do what she was determined to do. That task was writing a cook book. Although it did took Julia eight years to accomplish her goal, she was not able to publish her book through numerous attempts. Forturnately toward the end of the movie, she found a publisher who was truly interested in her book in French cooking. Later, she would become very famous in teaching people to cook from her book and her television show.

I thought it is cool that people are getting on to technology faster and faster than the generations in the past. Some websites have followers number in the hundred of millions, more than the population of some countries combine together. Even though Facebook has 100 million users, it is still behind the Qzone operated in China, which mainly serves the domestic Chinese in that country. The sharing of news between friends are now done mainly in their cellphones or handheld devices that can link to Twitter or Facebook by internet. Today, more and more newspaper companies are dying out due to the increase use of the internet for the news. A great percentage of teenagers today chooses to research peer reviews of products that they will buy than they would trust advertisements. One could make up to $150 dollars on wikipedia for all the new articles that are being put into the database. According to a research, Wikipedia is more accurate than the everyday exclopedia.
